Bali Adventure - Ubud Hanging Gardens

We went to the Ubud Hanging Gardens, outside of Ubud, Bali. We found out they really aren't hanging gardens. It's a really fancy hotel/resort amidst the jungle. It was beautiful though. We took lots of pictures and ate at their fancy restaurant, which had very yummy food with states side prices. I guess some of the jungle around the hotel kind of looks as if it's hanging. Price per night is about $400-$500!! No, we did not stay there! Enjoy the pics. :)

Here are some orchids
Steps leading down to the several levels of the resort.
This was in the lobby.

Tim sitting beside beautiful white orchids, which as I've mentioned before, grow so easily here!

Instead of taking the steps, you can also take a lift up and down the various levels. All around the main lobby/restaurant/pool, are bungalows where the guests stay.

Here's a view of a Hindu temple seen from the main building where the pool, lounge and lobby, and restaurant. The waiter said at night it is black but the temple is lit up. The temple and surrounding jungle looks beautiful.

Pool area

Notice the infinity pools. The water flows off the sides - looks beautiful! Don't the pools look like they just go off into the jungle - cool huh?

Decor around the lounge/restaurant

The table setting for lunch

The restaurant overlooks the jungle around it!
Ceiling of the restaurant. I liked it. Those are batik cloth banners in the ceiling :)

Nasi Goreng - fried rice

Krupuk - kind of like a chip
