you walk out of the bedroom into the living room and say to your husband, "oohhh what's that good smell? It smells like oranges. Did you spray orange air freshener?" and he says, "ummm....no I sprayed bug spray..." and he cracks up laughing... ha ha ha
seriously...that really happened last night! I joined in the laughter and we both said "we definitely have been in Cambodia too long if bug spray smells good!" But really...I think it does smell like oranges !!
If you have ever been to Phnom Penh, Cambodia you would understand the humor here....the city here has some very unique smells and none of them good - mostly sewer and garbage smells as you ride and walk along the streets...and God forbid if you happen to stop your moto right over or close to a sewer drain - Oh God!! I'm not swearing here...i definitely cry out to God! for help!
Tim said I just had to blog that! ha ha ha

Keeping up with the Joneses
Hi everyone,
It's been too long since I've blogged, so I thought I'd update everyone...
As I said in a previous blog, Tim and I are coming home!
We fly out of Phnom Penh, Cambodia June 2, change planes in Seoul, Korea and then change planes again in Chicago and finally land in Wichita, Kansas June 3.
Just like last summer, we are flying on our anniversary - June 2 (28 years)!
At this point we are hoping to settle in AZ, KS or TX and want to be close to family!
Our very old and falling apart, but still running at least, mini van is in Wichita and so are our boxes in storage.
So we'll land in Wichita, pick up our van, visit with our youngest son and his wife and then go see our grand daughters and new grandson who will be a month or two old by then! :)
Tim is applying to many different school districts in TX, AZ and KS, both public and private.
We did get some good news. Remember that alternate certification program that Tim did in TX a couple years ago? We did find out that his status is still current. If he gets a job teaching in TX, they will release his temporary teaching certificate to him. Yay!
So..our prayer requests are:
A teaching job for Tim
At this point he won't turn away youth pastor jobs either, but he really wants to continue teaching
Finishing up strong here at Logos International School
Staying healthy and safe
Thanks for your prayers! We treasure them.
Cynthia
